  1. That sounds really delicious.  I have not been to Michigan or down south either.

  2. We love cole slaw, but not on our burgers.  I have never heard of such a thing.  Oh, and if the burger n**i that sold you the slawburger tries to sell you a Mississippi mud pie, the color is from chocolate, not the river dredgings.

  3. I wouldn't know about the south, and I never had a burger out anywhere with coleslaw (never liked coleslow from a restaurant or deli), but when I make coleslaw, I'll sometimes put some on a burger.  I never thought of it as a "slawburger" though.  Sometimes I put a spoonful of baked beans on a burger.... "beanburger" just wouldn't sound right. It's just a topping.  I'll have the cheese too, so slaw/cheeseburger would be a bit much.

  4. My family lives in South Carolina and those Southerners in that area think the ONLY way to eat bbq is a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on it. Nothin more nothin less. The sauce HAS to be mustard based. I've never heard of a burger with slaw on it, but the meat/coleslaw/bun thing definitely works!

  5. I've never had slaw on hamburgers, but it is delicious on hot dogs, sloppy joes and barbeque sandwiches!
