  1. yeast infections are caused by bacteria in the v****a, this can be too much of your own good bacteria, or a new bacteria introduced in some way. tampons can cause it, but as long as you are changing your tampon regularly, it should be fine (dont leave it in for more than 4 hours if you can help it, 6 at the absolute most)

one thing is to make sure you wear underwear, and that you wash all of your underwear in hot water!!!!! this is a big deal. most women do not realize that nylon or fancy underwear or thongs can cause yeast infections! that part of your body needs to breathe, so non-cotton, or heavily colored underwear are a big cause of infections.

Personally, I use OB, and have no problem, but whatever is most comfortable to you is what you need to use. if you try to use a non-applicator and you have trouble, you may be causing tears in your v****a, which, in turn, can cause an infection, so dont force it, they may not be right for your body type.  oh, and scented tampons are a bad idea. never use anything scented in that region, things with scents can irritate the soft skin.

    hope this helps.
