  1. Yeast respiration is on oxygen only. after that with the remaining, it  produces a waste product, ethanol.

  2. yeast can perform both aerobic (with oxygen) and anaerobic (without oxygen) respiration!! when oxygen is present, the yeast will readily respire aerobically to produce carbon dioxide, water and energy (mainly as heat)!! It produces much much more energy aerobically than anaerobically. When the supply of oxygen runs out, the yeast cells start respiring anaerobically, yeast is some of the few species who can do this for prolonged periods of time without killing themselves. When yeast starts respiring anaerobically, it starts producing carbon dioxide, ethanol and energy. The energy produced anaerobically is much less than the energy produced aerobically.

  3. Yes, yeast do respire. They respire both aerobically (with oxygen) and anaerobically (without oxygen). Aerobic respiration produces more energy, but even without oxygen they can survive, this is where aerobic respiration comes in.
