Question:

Yellow Armpit Stains. help! ???

I just bought new uniform shirts for the school year. The summer ones are light blue and the winter ones are white. I wanted to know what I could do to prevent getting yellow stains in the armpits of these brand new shirts. It happens every school year and I have to constantly buy new ones. I normally use roll-on antiperspirant. Should I use baby powder under my arms too or instead of this. Any tips???

{and if I end up getting these stains...any tips for getting them out?}

  1. ive had that from deodrant. it was roll on too, but im not sure if thats wats causing it. it really seems it except if you always try different ones?

    I have one that doesnt do it

  2. VANISH OXY ACTION STAIN REMOVER

  3. I have this issue too.  I always wear a generic white hanes t-shirt under my shirts.....thay way, nobody sees the stain and they prevent the good shirt from getting stained.  Then after about six months I throw them away and buy new ones.  You could always use bleech to get the yellow stains out, but I've never tried that.

  4. The best deoderant I've found (at a reasonable price) is Mitchum clear solid!

  5. Lots of deodorant. Most people make the mistake of thinking they only need to put on deodorant once a day. When they should be using it at least twice a day, and yes baby powder can help but its messy.

  6. Like you..I sweat like a pig.  I am trying Certain Dry deodorant.  Plus I heard that you can soak the armpit stains in vinegar before washing.  Gonna try it.  Good luck!!  My stains are so bad that they are brown.  A good thing though, our bodies are cleansing out all the toxins . Just gotta figure a way that it doesn't look so gross.  HUGS!!

  7. I've never had yellow armpit stains before, why don't you try wearing an undershirt.

  8. The reason why you get yellow arm pit stains is because you are using a roll on deodorant. I don't know what it is, but then tend to cause stains. Try using a stick deodorant. And if you do get stains, you can try bleach but you may just have to throw them away.

  9. Be sure to use an antiperspirant, it is likely caused by you sweating a lot and the deodorant.  You can buy combination antiperspirant and deodorant.  Bleach should help but it also will help if wash the shirts out at night before putting in the laundry.
