Question:

Yellow Fever Shot Question?

Hey all.

When you get the Yellow Fever Shot, do you get it in the arm or the neck? When my dad was young he said that they gave it in the neck with this really big needle (he grew up in South American and traveled a lot).

Anyway, my husband and I are traveling to Panama and are wondering if they still give the shot in your neck?

If not, when did they stop doing it?

Thanks everyone!

  1. In the arm -- it goes into a muscle - the deltoid muscle on the arm is most commonly used in adults.

I have never heard that it was given in the neck.
