Yellow Teeth immediately after getting braces?

Question

I just got my braces on two days ago, and immediately after i noticed that my teeth were many shades yellower. I had finished using my crest whitestrips premium plus a couple days before getting braces, and I was wondering if it was maybe the combination of the whitestrips and the braces glue that turned my teeth so ugly.

everyones teeth are yellow after braces, but its impossible to use strips with braces....or so i thought...start using strips and whiteners now =]
