We have a crean carpet and we were cutting the stalks off this afternoon and the yellowy orange bits in the middle of the flower fell all over the cream carpet now it has left a big yellow mark. We have tried 1001 left it for a few mins and tried to gently clean it but it hasnt worked, the carpet is excellent quality 80% wool and we have only had it down three months. Help anybody else had this happen and how did you get it out? Thanks

  1. You should have taken the middles out first ! My cousin is a florist and always takes the middles out when flower arranging, you need to use a damp piece of kitchen roll. As for the carpet, have a look here,

DO NOT USE CIF, IT CONTAINS BLEACH.

  2. Try Goof Off 2.  You can find it at any hardware store like Lowe's and The Home Depot.

    Ms.

  3. With a white scrubbing cream that you can find in any suppermarket (can be any brand), I find it really effective.

  4. Try Vanish carpet cleaner that has always worked for me with stains in the past. Also you could try renting a rug doctor from B&Q that gets the carpet really clean and removes stubborn stains. Worth a go anyway.

  5. This advice is a bit late now but if it ever happens again DO NOT wet it.  This will fix the colour further into the fibres.  Istead try to remove as must of the pollen carefully with the hoover and then use sellotape to try and get the rest out.

For now you could try using Vanish but I honestly dont hold out a lot of hope that you will remove the stain fully - sorry.
