Yellow fever vaccine?

Has anyone ever gotten a yellow fever vaccine? When you get the vaccine do they give you the certificate right there and then or do they have to mail it to you or you have to pick it up a later time? I know it becomes valid after 10 days, but do they just give it to you when you get the vaccine?

  1. I had my yellow fever vaccine years ago in Peru and the lab gave the document straight away, It's like a passport tyoe document saying the date, the lab, the vaccines they used (Pasteur something) and the number of the little jar where the vaccines came. It's yellow, like a very thin passport type of document. It should be signed by the person responsible in the lab and they have to issue it straight away, they dont mail or of fax it. When you are in the airline counter, they ask for this document, otherwise you cant board the plane.
