Yellow labs and convicts as tank mates?

Question

i have a 29 gallon tank with 1 1/5 inch yellow labs , somone gave me a convict they couldnt take care of its about 3 1/4 inchs would it kill my labs?

Thats a bad idea, the convicts will bully them to death and then eat them, not only are the electric yellows too small to be in with a fish that size, they are extremely mild.

In my experience with Convicts,

It will claim most of that small tank as its territory and will bash anything,even larger fish if they enter it.

That would probably depend upon the personality of the fish.  If the labs can fit in the convicts mouth, the then the answer is more than likely yes.  However if you put it in the tank, and watch it closely you will probably be able to see if it acts hostile towards its new tank-mates.
