Yellow "pixels"

The white or clear reflective colors on my VIZIO LCD 32" tv are appearing as a yellow haze.  We have reconnected it several times, but nothing seems to work.  It was a refurbished tv, so I have no idea how long it has run.  The only way we can "semi" get the yellow to disappear is to turn the contrast all the way down, and the brightness up.  I checked all connections, and even connected it straight to the cable connection and it does the same thing.  The same cable connection works on another tv just fine.
