  1. NO...it&#039;s a national park, silly.

    There are plenty of other places to tap geothermal energy.

The best alternative energy source you could get out of Yellowstone would probably be geothermal energy.  Think of the Old Faithful gyser, all of that heat coming out of the ground.  I&#039;m not really familiar with the infrastructure required for building any kind of geothermal plants,but if it could be done in a relativly small area in Yellowstone without having to build a bunch of pipelines or transmission towers all over the park, then I&#039;d be all for that!  

    Or geothermal energy in the park could just be used locally, to power gererators for all of the buildings already there.
