Yelyzaveta Zharka finds a perfect start in Women’s Singles first round at Slovak Open 2012
Ukraine’s upcoming player Yelyzaveta Zharka showed her wonderful class in Women’s Singles first round when she gave a severe lesson to her local challenger Jana Ciznarova at the Victor Slovak Open 2012 in Slovakia, on Friday, September 7.
The determined Yelyzaveta, who has been working well in her training sessions for the last one year, showed a remarkable improvement in all departments of her game as she easily trounced Jana in a crushing fashion.
The Ukrainian player was at her best on court as she kept the pace of rallies at the maximum level and remained positive and aggressive in the whole battle. She remained in dominating position all the way to finish up the contest with a lopsided fashion
in just 19 minutes.
In the meanwhile, the local shuttler failed to prove her worth despite having huge home support. She could not control the bird at any stage and crashed out without creating a strong impact in this straight set battle.
The opening set was a nightmare for Jana who was not ready for such a shocking treatment that she received from her Ukrainian opponent.
The local shuttler failed to play aggressive and fast badminton in opening rallies and remained struggling behind Yelyzaveta until the end of first half.
The Ukrainian player managed her striking run on court after the one-minute interval and remained impressive in her attacking game.
Yelyzaveta was confident in her play as she showed no sign of confusion and remained successful in winning the first set with a stunning 21-11 score on the board.
In the following set, Jana almost gave up as she could not even put up a meagre resistance against the impressive play of her in-form opponent.
On the other hand, Yelyzaveta played with precision and easily pushed Jana on back foot while remaining ahead on score board until the break.
After the one-minute interval, Yelyzaveta remained ahead without facing any trouble from her challenger and eventually threw her out by ending up the second game with a shocking margin of 21-6.
The in-form Yelyzaveta emerged as the winner in this Women’s Singles first round clash with an incredible 21-11 and 21-6 score on the board.
