Question:

Yes I know I'm crazy. Homemade slip 'n slide with ramp into lake?

I want to make a slip n slide with a ramp into my lake. I have an old water slide and an old water float; both made of wood. I want to construct it down a hill and across the sand shore into the water. I know this is a long shot but does anyone out there have any ideas? I know I'm not the only one to do this. The hill leading down to the ramp (which will launch you in the air into the water) can just be dug out a little and have a tarp or other heavy duty cover but it's the ramp and what to do once you slide to the shore that I'm a little lost on. I'm an engineer at heart but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or past experience. Thanks :)

  1. DO NOT use any old tarps me and my dad used an old tarp gave me cuts all over

where the ramp starts make sure it is not a bump  as small as it may seam they hurt at high speeds you also want to make sure all of the dirt in the area is somewhat smooth and obviously make sure there are no rocks, sticks ect  and if you have an pets that go outdoors keep them away from the slip n slide the WILL put holes in it  and make sure there is not an rocks where the slid lets out

SOUNDS FUN WISH I HAD A LAKE IN MY BACKYARD

    Good luck

  2. pad it up mke it give a little the jump whil hurt and rocks into body do not feel good
