Yes I think I'm strange for being a 13 year old girl, as far as music goes...but is it for the better?

I despise mtv...I listen to mostly the beatles, soundgarden, audioslave, rage against the machine, red hot chili peppers, radiohead, nirvana, stone temple pilots, alice in chains, and pearl jam. I play bass in my band...and can cover rhcp/flea, with slap bass and all. I also play guitar.

My question is, why are all of these girls obsessed with hannah montana, the jonas brothers, boys like girls, etc? It seems like it's all dumbed-down, with absolutely no meaning behind it.

Oh yeah, and I'm straight, if you were wondering.

Everyone has different taste in music. I have a friend that likes music that you like but then again i have friends that like rap and only rap. Different people just connect to different things....No one is strange for liken a different kind of music.=]

We listen to the same type of music but I also listen to metal,political rap/hip hop,jazz and blues and im 13 too.

Some people are obsessed to the Jonas Brothers because they're supposedly "hot"

OMG!! I effin' love you. We like the same kind of music. 80's music, rock, oldies, mostly all kinds of music (not hip hop though). No, you are not strange. You are effin' hardcore. I wish more kids were like you!!
