I was riding on my scooter and a girl crossed the street running from behind a bus and I hit her...the girl only has a few bruises, but I broke my ankle...the question: should I drive my scooter again??? in fact this is already my third accident in 1 year, the first 2 I fell by myself (because of inexperience) and it makes me think I am a bad driver...I´ve always been very afraid of the traffic, never got my dirver license..I know that in fact driving a car is safer, but I have very low confidence...so what should I do in the future?? drive my scooter again or start with driving classes??thank you

  1. a car is safer for you, but more dangerous to other people. remember that much moving weight, can kill someone fast.

  2. use public transportation its safer and stay off the scooter dont drive you are too nervous and accident prone

  3. Get your self a car and go to a driving school.

  4. try the car i mean it will get you more confidence i promise

  5. sorry to hear about your ankel. however, being in few accidents does not make you a bad driver, you just need to pay more attention .. when it come to blind spots like bus .. etc . slow down and take your time because you dont know what is behind it. scooters are fun but dangerous at the same time . even if you are the best driver . that does not make the other drivers around you the best !.

at the same time you will need to work on your DL. you will be at some point where you need to travel on the free way. you can do it .. i know you can. and you know that you can do it .. all these people who is driving every day are not better or smarter than you .

so for not .. take it easy on that ankel and be more careful

    good luck

  6. some people learn the rules of the road quick, and some the hard way.you are learning the hard way.things that happened k**e the kid running out from behind the bus was because you weren't prepared for it.you assumed that because you saw no one in front of you things were fine.fact is when ever you drive anything you have to be aware.not whats right in front of you,but up ahead.looking for things like when you see a bus.expect a kid to run out.or when the light turns green at an intersection, don't assume you can just go.look anyways, there is always that 1 time someone will run the red light and pow your dead.always look ahead.be more defensive when driving.

  7. Maybe practice in a vacant school parking lot more before you get back on the road with the scooter. Don't give up though. You will never gain any confidence if you gice up on stuff.

  8. Take public transport for a while, at least, if this is an option.

Later, you might want to take driving classes and have another go. You do seem accident prone. Are you, perhaps, distracted when you're driving? That could explain this.

Be thankful that you injured no one more seriously and take your broken ankle as a good omen: to wake up to the danger you pose with your two-wheeled vehicle on the street.

  9. Don't you need a license for driving a scooter?? You have had such bad luck, shame, hope your ankle gets better soon. Maybe you are not concentrating enough and also because you are scared of the traffic [ like i am] you have less confidence. Drive your scooter, you use less petrol, easier to get around with and work on your confidence. Good luck to you :)

  10. take the bus

    lol

  11. Sorry to hear about your accident!  I hope you're OK.  It never hurts to learn more about what you want to do.  God Bless and Be Safe!!

  12. dont you have to have a license to drive a scooter??

well if you want to drive your scooter again there is no reason why u cant get your confidence...every few hours go out around small roads where there not too busy for about 30mins and keep doing this until u can tackle the bigger roads..it is same with everything try the easiest thing untill you get confidence and the tackle the harder problems!! :)
