  1. You should have taken your dog to the vet yesterday!  If you were throwing up blood and foamy stuff wouldn't you go to the doctor?

  2. There was probably some kind of parasite or chemical in the water. Take him to the vet immediately!

  3. so you know for the future, lake water, all stand-still outdoor water, you should never let your dog drink that. that's a big way to get giardia and other parasitic diseases. they don't go away on their own.

i don't know if it was that, or if your dog has another problem and drinking lake water just aggravated it causing him to vomit..then revealing a problem with blood in the vomit.

WARNING: your dog is only 6 months old! this needs a vet asap! oh honey haven't you been taking your puppy to the vet regularly? your puppy needs to be vaccinated and dewormed and just overall checked..

  4. It might have been what ever was in the lake water that he drank, that was making him sick.

  5. If he continues to puke up blood see a vet. He may have just irritated his throat and was coughing that up.

The foamy yellow stuff is bile.

  6. There was probably some kind of bacteria in the lake water and it didn't sit to well in his stomach.

  7. the water probbly had some kind of chemical in it,and if he's coughing up blood then you need to go see vet asap,so they can see what's wrong

  8. I don't know what could have caused it, but anything with Lemon-Lime in it such as Gatorade or Sprite can help ill dogs. Have him drink some if he won't pour a little down his mouth. It's best to mix about a cup of bleach with the Lemon Lime. My grand father had to do it for his dog before. It cured him! Hopefully it helps, If you wouldn't like to do this, get him to the vet. (= Hope he gets well!

  9. vomiting blood is not normal for dogs or humans.  It's usually a sign of a serious problem.  The vet needs to find out where the blood is coming from.  Call a vet asap.  Just because the dog seems fine doesn't mean he's ok...dog's are unable to tell you what's wrong and you can only go off of physical symptoms.

  10. it could have been a bacteria or chemical in the water that's irritated his oesophagus/stomach.

the foamy yellow stuff is bile, so this shows he was purging the irritant from his system.

Keep an eye on him for a day or two

    - check his stool/urine for blood and if he shows any unusual signs, get him to the vet!

  11. aw, that old dog is ok. i wouldnt give it a second thought.
