Yet another CRAZY race - how does this happen???

OK, this is nothing like the BEYOND SCARY video I posted last night (if you didn't see it, check my profile and go watch...craziest thing you have ever seen - only one person has ever seen it happen before!)

But how on earth does this happen?

How do they end up there, at that time, without others knowing they are there? And how on earth could anyone have them be there, at that specific time??

I am so glad they didn't get hurt by that bucket - someone could have tripped over that and caused a massive pileup that could have ended really badly!!!

Anyway, how does something like this even happen?

They are responsible for their own actions.  There are enough warnings that the race has started, the starting bell and the announcer.

I watched that video last night too.  It's funny because how could those people not realize that there were 7 horses barrelling toward them.  You didn't hear the hoofbeats and look up?  They waited until the horses were right on top of them.

Apparently this was a race that started in the backstretch and the horses had to go through the stretch twice.  I guess the crew thought that when the horses passed the first time, they were done and they could step out on the track.  It seems really stupid, but I guess that's what happens when there's bad communication.

In the 1975 Kentucky Derby, someone threw a can of beer at the leading horse which could have been disasterous... that horse could have freaked out and all the other horses entering the stretch right behind it could have run into it.  Fortunately the horse didn't freak out, but it did come out of the race with a huge welt on its hip.

I don't remember what year, but some moron ran onto the track to block the favorite horse from winning.  I want to say it was in the Preakness, but I'm not really sure.
