Yet another Meaning of life question?

What is the meaning of life they say. Is there a meaning of life? If it is, is there only one? Why are people inclined to believe there is one, just one, explanation to the most important question ever? Some people say "To live and multiply", and that's fine, but what about the people who don't want children, they wouldn't exactly fit in with that answer.

What is the meaning of Your life, is a question that could be answered. Most people do not even know this answer, but it could be answered.

And what if i'm wrong, and there actually is one answer that fits in with everybody. The all mystical divine meaning of life. There are infinite possibilities to this, therefore, is it even possible to answer? Would it be an extremely complicated answer, or something as simple as just "to live"?

Is it possible for the meaning of life, to just be, to live?

To live and multiply that is what happens with every being in this earth even bacteria so who is to say that we are so special? we just have to give the next generation a chance to live and so on,  let them decide whether this world is a bad world or a good world to live. As we witnesed mother nature doesnt deffirientiate between us and any other beings when it comes to who has a priority to live on earth eg massive earthquakes, tsunamis, diseases etc. any other way of  selfish thinking is a way to extinction. or meaby we are not meant to know what is the meaning of life. Meaby animals know!!!!!!!!

The meaning of life is very simple. To accept God into your life. Then you wouldnt want a meaning to live, you would just be glad you are alive.

The meaning of my life is to pursue happiness, not necessarily reach it. Because I know that happiness can never be truly attained. A person feels that by having this or doing this, he or she will definitely be happy.  But until one reaches it, what can a person be happy about?  Only that she or he is pursuing happiness. And once a person reaches what they wanted, then until the fulfill their other desire, they won't be happy.  The only thing that can giv e"happiness" or satisfaction is to know that one is in the pursuit of it. We can never be satisfied, so can we ever be happy?

You are right that there isn't just one purpose of life for each of us, and that no one else can truly define our own purpose of life; it's something we have to do ourselves. But, as different as we are, we are so alike too, and I think we ask one another what the purpose of life is so that from the answers of others we can help sort out our own. I mean, I think my great-grandmother had a lot more insight on the purpose of life after 94 years of living (and rocking) it, so I liked to ask her a lot of questions.....

Multiply humankind, not necessarily your own particular gene.  People who don't have children are happy helping others to multiple by doing their daily jobs, to keep the world rotating.

To live is not a meaning, it is the basic requirement of life.  If you aren't living, how could you have life?

The meaning of life I believe is what we make of it... If you chose to serve God and praise Jesus Christ or Muhammad then that is the meaning of life to you. If you just want to have heaps of fun with friends or help other people out then that is the meaning of life to you. If you are an entrepreneur then the meaning of life to you is to make money and a thriving business. To me the meaning of life is to make art, write and to be happy with my self.

You are confusing "what is the meaning of life" with "what will make me happy".

Happiness is a temporary state of mind that can focus attention away from real problems.  

True meaning of life can only come from our Creator (or "divine" as you say).  Once you fully realize that, you can see that our Creator must have put our need for meaning into our human nature to urge us to seek Him.
