Question:

Yet another murder, this time the victim was out on bail for two serious crimes, rape and assault, why?

The 22 year old man stabbed to death in broad daylight, in the Capitals most famous street, was reported to have been out on bail.

He was alleged to have been involved in a 10 man rape of a 16 year old, who was doused in caustic soda to remove DNA evidence, and a serious assault on another man in which a knife was found.

How is it possible to get bail for two offences ? It seems that many dubious characters, when faced with the likelihood of serious jail time, decide to go out on a last rampage before either absconding or going to jail. These binges are fraught with danger for those innocent members of the public, who unknowingly interact with these scumbags.

The catalogue of crimes committed in this one case alone, should have a positive effect on the clear up rate, except that sadly, this case is not that unusual.

  1. Well all my sympathy for this bloke went when i read what he was out on bail for.

The old saying "what goes around comes around"  springs to mind

Perhaps it was someone getting revenge on him for his sick crime against a poor innocent 16 year old.

  2. The English justice system has at its cornerstone the principle that a person is innocent until found guilty by a court. If S. Bigby (the victim) had no previous convictions then he is entitled to bail if the court he appears in front of considers it to be appropriate.

He was due to stand trial on both charges and had not yet been convicted.

  3. Like you i am horriifed that monster accused of 2 horrible crimes is allowed out on bail.

The justice system needs a total overhaul and i volunteer!

  4. Too many are falling through the cracks, that is for sure. I think our judical system needs a change. That is why it is so important to look for political candidates who will support, that.

  5. Rough Justice.

I can't say I agree with that, but looking at the way some authorities behave, I can see why people are driven to taking the law into their own hands.

And yes, WHY was this man out on bail? Do you ever get the feeling the authorities are looking for a 'quick clean up' when they do this?

  6. Sounds like a bit of revenge then

  7. It's scary to think who might be wandering the streets amongst us.

In this case though, I think the Oxford Street murder, the victim got his comeuppance.

As for the lad in the bakery, that was tragic.Just look at how well he was liked and loved by all who knew him.I would have been proud to have him as my son.
