Yevgeni Giner refuses to compare http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, Cristiano Ronaldo – Football news
CSKA Moscow president, Yevgeni Giner, has refused to compare Vagner Love with Real Madrid’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 and FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi after saying that Brazilian International needs to work hard to reach that level.
However, the 62-year-old said that Love’s emotional return to Luzhniki stadium helped them claim their fourth league title this season. CSKA reclaimed the domestic title after six long years following their 0-0 draw against Kuban Krasnodar earlier this month.
Love, who returned to Luzhniki stadium after leaving the Moscow-based club for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Flamengo-c39361 back in January, added stability to the team following his return beyond any shadow of the doubt and was pivotal to the goal-scoring department.
“We need to look at the statistics before making any comments about Love. I think we scored more points without Love during the first round. I am very happy to have him back. He is a great player who can play in the leading Europe clubs. Of course, I'm not
comparing him with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo,” CSKA President was quoted as saying.
News in Russian media has linked Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Shirokov-c31645, with a move to Luzhniki this summer. If speculations are to be believed, they are ready to offer him a bumper four-year deal given that the 31-year-old is not happy at the
St. Petersburg club.
The speculations heated up after the player’s agent, Arsene Minasov, visited Giner at his office. However, Giner revealed that he did not talk about signing the former Rubin Kazan man.
“In football, you can ever say never. We have not considered this matter at the moment. So, I will not like to speculate on the future of the player. Arsene came to me to talk about matters other than football. His friend is in problem and he asked me for
help. We did not talk about Shirokov,” he concluded.
Giner went on to tell that he is ready to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergei-Semak-c32976 from Zenit regardless of his age. The Russian International stressed that he will do anything possible to bring the pass-master back to Moscow only if Semak wants to continue his playing career.
