I think it's hilarious when people are like, "OH lets go get real Mexican food!!" And you're like "Okay!" And then they take you to a taco bell. Do you think they REALLY think thats what Mexican food tastes like? Has that ever happened to you?

Taco Bell is good if your craving a generic version. That is not what real Mexican Food is like.  Go to a taqiera and eat some lingua tacos, barbacoa or menudo.

I love Taco bell but it Americanized mexican food

The only thing taco bell and Mexican food have in common is the soft shell and refried beans

Mexicans don t put all that sauce and lettuce or sour cream on their food

a mexican taco is just meat, shell , salsa and maybe cheese

no sour cream in mexico they have creama which taste like whipping cream to me and not as thick or sour as sour cream

I think Taco Bell is good, but you have a valid point.  It tastes nothing like authentic Mexican food.  It is a fast food, Americanized take on Mexican food.  I do like it though, I could eat cheesy bean and rice burritos and chicken quesadillas all day long, but I like having real Mexican food too.  The tortilla chips and salsa are so much better than TB's too :)

LOL. Maybe it was a joke? Usually when ppl say "real Mexican" they mean a local, authentic family mexican restaurant.

Taco Bell is delicious but I totally get what you're saying. People will say, "I feel like Mexican, lets go to Taco Bell." I remember a while ago my sister took me to a restaurant called Don Pablo's Mexican Kitchen, and there I had authentic Mexican food. The problem is, people believe that by eating Tacos (because it's a Mexican thing) that they're actually sharing a Mexican experience. Honestly, if they want traditional Mexican food like Acapulco Nachos, Chimi De Oro's, Burritos, Cheese Relleno, and Tamales, then they should go to an authentic Mexican restaurant.

I think they are either pulling your leg or they are talking fast food style "mexican" food.  Personally, I prefer Del Taco to Taco Bell for fast food.  But for real mexican, I make my own.

it is not real mexican food..  but it is yum..  and cheap..  and i am really glad they finally got unsweetened iced tea..
