  1. get an elite becaue it is a better board and will be able to progress better with you. pair that board with a custom and it will be a great set up if you a beginer. the elite is an almountian board but will be more stiff than a cruzer so it will be better for riding

  2. Yup, all Burton bindings will fit on Burton boards with the exception of the ICS board and EST bindings.

The Cruzer is a super super basic board and you might want to buy something a bit better than that so that your skills can grow with it.

  3. The Cruzer is a lower-end beginner board.  I'm thinking your selection of a board and binders are a little off.  The Cruzer is pretty novice, while the Cartels are better for the intermediate to advanced rider.  For $194 new, it's not bad.  And yes, any Burton binding will fit on a Burton board.  With the exceptions of the EST system, but that should become more widespread in the coming years.

  4. All burton bindings will fit on Burton boards, unless you have the Burton EST bindings, that will only fit on the ICS boards. The Cruzer is a very basic board. It is the board that resorts usually rent out. If you are just starting out, i would get the Cruzer, But i know that i really hated that board and especially the bindings that usually come with it. I would just spend a little more on a better board, especially since boards are going on sale to get ready for next year's line.

If you are just simply looking for a cheap board, try looking for one from previous years.

Rei.com has alot of boards on sale right now.
