Although both teams are without several key players, the return of Lyon midfielder, Yoann Gourcuff, is a huge boost for Les Bleus’ coach. The 26-year-old has earned his first call-up since May after recovering from a serious knee injury with a number of

The attacking midfielder is happy to be back in the national team and is looking forward to repay the faith shown in him by the boss. The Frenchman was talking to reporters at a press conference and when asked about his feelings regarding the situation,
Gourcuff expressed his surprise and admitted that he wasn’t expecting to be selected so soon.
"I was not really expecting to be selected so soon, I have been focused on recovering well and regaining my fitness.”
The player added that his aim was to recover as early as possible from the horrifying knee injury and regain his fitness. And after playing few games in Ligue 1 this season, the 26-year-old feels that the injury nightmare is behind him and is poised to show
the world what he is capable of when France take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 on Wednesday.
"I get slight pains from certain movements but nothing too worrying. I am not at 100 per cent but it is going well.”
Talking about the game against Cesare Prandelli’s side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 said that it would be a tough match and he will do his best to help the team in any way possible. The midfielder added that Didier Deschamps knows how to utilise his abilities and he
is happy to play any role assigned to him by the coach.
"I am just happy to be here and I will do my best to help my team-mates. The coach knows my qualities and it is up to him to see what I can bring to the team."
