While talking to RMC, the agent of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 and France national team boss Laurent Blanc, spoke about the future of his two clients in detail in order to set the record straight.
With seven league games played since the beginning of the season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international Yoann Gourcuff is still under a lot of scrutiny. Left on the bench by Remi Garde and undermined by recurring injuries, the former AC Milan man was often at the heart of
rumours about a premature end of his adventure in Lyon.
However, it is wrong to say anything about it. When asked about his future, Gourcuff’s agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes once again asserted that a departure is not in his mind as the player is only worried about his chances of playing in Euro 2012.
“The situation is still worrying from the point where the player does not play. Recently, Yoann has not been immune to physical problems. I think he still has 15 days to recover. After this, there will be a race against time to participate in the Euro.”
Bernes also added that Yoann has never asked to leave Lyon and said that he is playing in a big club and wants to restore it to its former glory.
Gourcuff’s case put aside, Bernes also turned to another hot topic of French football. The future of national team manager, Laurent Blanc, has come under intense scrutiny following his falling out with France Football Federation president, Noel Le Graet.
Blanc’s lease with Les Bleus might not be extended which means that a departure after Euro 2012 is more than likely. The former World Cup winner has been hotly linked with the managerial responsibilities at former Serie A club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan.
“Laurent Blanc is free to do anything. But he has no contact with Inter Milan and there were no instructions to do that. It is conceivable that Laurent Blanc will sign for a big club before Euro. There were proposals from top European clubs but he preferred
the national team.”
Certainly, the agent has done well to address a few issues especially the one of Laurent Blanc which gives a clear idea of what to expect in the future.
