The Newcastle midfielder has come down hard on his team-mates following their shocking defeat agasint Sweden and has warned his players that Les Bleus cannot afford to play like that against Spain
France were thrashed 2-0 in their last group-match by an already-eliminated Sweden side. Laurent Blanc's men were wasteful on certain occasions in the match and were punished by the Scandinavian country, thanks to a wonderful Ibrahimovic volley and a late
Seb Larsson goal.

The France international slammed his team-mates and stated
that the players were playing like they were on holidays.
"Sweden played really well. It wasn't like Sweden [played as though they] were already out of the competition and I think we played like we were already on our holidays. It was a mistake. Our mentality wasn't right.”
The Newcastle United midfielder has warned his players that France cannot afford to play like that again. Cabaye stated that France stand no chance against Spain unless they show rapid improvement.
The Frenchman claimed that the Spanish side is one of the best sides in the world and beating them requires strong mentality which is lacking in team-France at the moment and that has to change.

However, the former Manchester United player said that the team has moved on from the defeat against Sweden and Les Bleus are solely focusing on their next game.
France’s quarter-final clash with the title-holders Spain will take place in Donetsk on Saturday and a mouth-watering encounter is expected between the two footballing giants.
