The Newcastle United midfielder who was probably the best player for France at the European championship has defended his team’s performance in the competition
The 26-year has slammed the critics and has stated that France’s European adventure was not a failure by any mean. The France international feels that there are a lot of positives to be taken from Euro 2012.

Yohan Cabaye believes that his team’s showing was not satisfactory at all but it was better than Les Bleus’ performances in the previous tournaments. France were eliminated in the very first round in their last two major tournaments.

Euro 2012 was the first international tournament for the Frenchman as he is relatively new on this stage and the midfielder has enjoyed his time with the national side. Cabaye stated that he has always given his hundred percent for the country and will continue
to do so.
When asked about the factors behind France’s failure in the tournament, Cabaye stated that every player must take some responsibility and it is wrong to point out a player or two for this.
"Who is responsible for this? We all have our share of responsibility in this defeat” he added.
