Denmark’s Anders Kristiansen and Line Kruse have penetrated into Mixed Doubles second round after proving their superior skills over their team-mates, Martin Faaborg Jensen and Anne Katrine Hansen, in first-round clash of the Yonex DM 2012, in Denmark, on
Thursday, February 2, in Denmark.
Anders and Line started their journey in the championship in an impressive way as they played superb badminton and showed no mercy to their rivals in the opening round clash.
They played with precision throughout the match and bagged it in straight games with a comprehensive margin on the score board.
On the other hand, Martin and Anne could not live up to the expectations as they failed to put pressure on their rivals and lost the first encounter without winning even a singles game.
The starting points of this first-round contest were entertaining as both couples played to their maximum abilities and remained close. However, Anders and Line played mature badminton and started to take advantage in the game.
Martin and Anne tried to maintain the pace of rallies at the highest level but failed to control the bird. On the other hand, Anders and Line did not show any sign of confusion throughout the first half and managed to earn a wonderful lead.
After the break, Anders and Line did not drop the speed of rallies and became quicker at net. They continued dominating the pace of rallies and remained successful in bagging the first set with an impressive 21-14 score on the board.
In the following set, Anders and Line did not waste any time in establishing a wonderful lead at the early stages and maintained it until the one-minute break. Martin and Anne could not control the bird at net and remained behind their challengers on the
score board.
Anders and Line remained positive in the concluding half of second set and did not spare any room for their rivals to fight back in the game. They finished the second game with a wonderful score of 21-13.
This Mixed Doubles 23-minute first-round clash ended in 23 minutes with a completely one-sided score of 21-14 and 21-13.
