Yonex Denmark Open: Romina Gabdullina outplays Natalia Perminova in qualifying round contest
Russia’s talented player Romina Gabdullina advanced into Women’s Singles main draw after showing her elite skills in the qualifying round battle when she overpowered her team-mate Natalia Perminova at the Yonex Denmark Open Premier Super Series 2012 on Tuesday, October 16, in Denmark.
The impressive Romina, who remained unbeaten throughout the qualifying round, continued her elevated performance against Natalia and easily won the battle with a lopsided margin on score board.
Romina started her run in a powerful fashion as she played with remarkable precision and maintained an upper hand over her opponent all the way to finish up the contest in straight sets with a huge difference by taking just 28 minutes on court.
On the other hand, Natalia could not put up strong show on court as she played quivering badminton and also failed to focus on court. She lost the battle without taking any set from her rival.
In the opening game, both shuttlers displayed a wonderful show of attacking badminton and they kept on working hard to get a sufficient lead but none of them could establish a comfortable gap in the starting points.
However, it was Romina who geared up her speed in all areas and managed to set up a reasonable 11-8 lead on score board.
In the concluding half, Romina showed aggression on court without showing any mercy to her rival and eventually won the opening game in a comfortable manner by putting up 21-16 figure on score board.
In the following game, the impressive Romina continued putting up wonderful show of top class badminton and again set up a huge lead until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, Romina continued her remarkable show of top quality badminton without showing her rival even a slight mercy and raced away to the ending points.
The in-form Romina was calm and composed on court and she did not face any trouble in finishing up the second game with a huge 21-9 score on the board.
Romina remained successful in winning this contest in tremendous way with a staggering margin of 21-16 and 21-9.
