Yonex French Open Super Series: Peter Hoeg Gade trounces Takuma Ueda in Men’s Singles first round
Denmark’s top class shuttler Peter Hoeg Gade started his journey in a dominating fashion as he elegantly won the Men’s Singles first round contest against Japan’s Takuma Ueda at the Yonex French Open Super Series 2012 at Paris, France, on Wednesday, October
24.
The World Number Eight Peter Gade, who is the third seed in Men’s Singles main draw of the tournament, lived up to the expectations as he utilised his extensive experience on court and sent his Japanese opponent packing in 41 minutes.
Danish shuttler was aggressive and positive in the arena and he played planned game to overpower his rival in straight games with a decent margin on score board.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Ueda failed to cope up with the impressive speed and attacking play of his rival and eventually bowed down to him in two games without creating a strong impact on court.
The amazing speed and attacking strokes of Peter Gade favoured him to take control of the pace of rallies from the initial points in the starting set.
Peter Gade was incredibly quick in getting the bird early and he employed deceptive shots to keep his rival under pressure.
However, Ueda also worked hard and did not let his rival to build a comfortable lead until the end of opening half.
After the mid-game interval, the third seeded Peter Gade was focused in the arena and eventually remained successful in staying in lead.
Peter Gade showed a wonderful aggression on court which assisted him to bag the first game with a superb margin of 21-18.
In the second game, Ueda increased his speed but failed to play smart badminton as his Danish challenger was everywhere on court.
The impressive Peter Gade was unmatched on court as he remained in commanding form and eventually took a wonderful lead until the break.
In the concluding half, Peter Gade continued putting up strong performance and remained successful in clinching the game with a superb 21-10 total on score board.
Peter Gade emerged as the winner against Ueda in a comfortable fashion with a controlled margin of 21-18 and 21-10.
