Yonko set to strike hat-trick in Ladbrokes Open 525 at Shelbourne Park
After a couple of brilliant victories, Yonko is brimming with confidence, and looks in a great position to complete his hat-trick at Shelbourne Park, where he will be showing his magic in Ladbrokes Open 525 on Saturday, July 18th. The clash is
scheduled to get underway at 19:50 GMT.
Yonko pushed his connections to bring him up to the top level by registering an emphatic A4 win on July 19th. He continued the good work, and sealed a comfortable win in an open race at the end of last month.
A terrific finish helped the hound beat Urban Artist by three quarters of a length. The son of Hondo Black was under tremendous pressure, but did well to secure the victory. He does not have much experience under his belt, but it will not be a good move
to underestimate him especially after two superb triumphs.
Other contestants in the race are: Solo Traveler, Mandys Blossom, Ashfield Impact, Ballymac Brian and Ballycowen Hero. A cash prize of €500 is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Solo Traveler is in good form these days. The black hound recently made a few very good outings, but at the lower grade. In an A5 meeting, he missed the first place only by a neck’s distance last time. Even though Hondo Black’s son is in very good rhythm,
doing an equally good at the open level will be a tough task.
Mandys Blossom suffered an awful defeat after a couple of good efforts. It will be interesting to see how she handles things in order to get back to the winning ways. The blue b***h certainly has a major role to play.
Ballymac Brian’s confidence would be at a low after completing the order of finish last time. Ashfield Impact is also not in good form, and cannot be trusted today. Similar is the case with Ballycowen Hero.
Yonko and Mandys Blossom are going to battle hard for the first place. The former is in far better shape, and should be preferred. An exciting battle is on the cards. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
