Yoo Yeon Seong and Jang Ye Na penetrate into Mixed Doubles final Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012
Korea’s in-form players Yoo Yeon Seong and Jang Ye Na continued their elevated run on court and they reached into Mixed Doubles final after showing exit to Chinese Taipei’s Kuan Hao Liao and Yu Chin Chien in semi-final clash at Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012
in Korea, on Saturday, December 8.
The top seeded Yeon Seong and Ye Na, who are currently ranked at number 14 in Mixed Doubles world placements, delivered a dominating performance and cheered their home fans by ending up the match in 40 minutes.
It was a smooth ride for the Korean couple as they played with superb precision and speed throughout the quarter-final clash and easily toppled their un-seeded challengers in straight sets with a comfortable margin.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Kuan Hao and Yu Chin failed to show up their attacking skills as they could not control the pace of rallies and eventually became a prey to their top seeded Korean challengers in a one-sided manner.
In the first game, the hard to match speed and powerful strokes of Yeon Seong and Ye Na helped them to occupy the driving seat and they remained successful in maintaining a strong position on the board until the end of opening half.
After the break, Kuan Hao and Yu Chin tried their best to put up strong resistance but failed to take charge of the game and remained trailing behind.
However, Yeon Seong and Ye Na continued hitting powerful strokes in targeted areas and they face no trouble in winning the first game with a superb 21-12 score on the board.
In the second game, the top seeded Yeon Seong and Ye Na played with incredible speed without sparing any opportunity for Kuan Hao and Yu Chin to fight back in the game until the one-minute break.
After the interval, Yeon Seong and Ye Na continued putting up super performance and they remained successful in grabbing the game with a superb 21-17 difference on score board.
Yeon Seong and Ye Na remained successful in winning this Mixed Doubles semi-final match in straight sets with a dominating total of 21-12 and 21-17.
