Yoon Sung-Hyo disappointed with his team’s exit from the Asian Champions League
After an intense semi-final on Wednesday, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Suwon-Samsung-Bluewings-c40639 find themselves out of the Asian Champions League after losing on aggregate. Bluewings manager Yoon Sung-Hyo also accused the Qatari’s of time wasting during Wednesday’s game.
The Korean side travelled away to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Al-Sadd-c38355 Football Stadium for the second leg of their ACL semi-final against Al Sadd. Bluewings, who had lost the first leg by a 2-0 margin at home, needed to score more than twice without conceding in order to qualify for
the final.
Having scored an early goal in the seventh minute through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oh-Jang-Eun-c28340, the Korean side failed to capitalise on their advantage. The Bluewings also squandered numerous opportunities especially during the first 45 minutes, which resulted in their exit.
Al Sadd, on the other hand, decided to stay back and defend their away goal advantage in order to advance through to the final.
The Suwon manager, after the game, accused match referee for being biased and helping the Qatari’s advance to the final. He was of the opinion that the Wolf wasted lot of time intentionally and were lucky to get away without any warning from the officials.
While talking during the post-match conference, Yoon further added, “It was an away game and we anticipated it to be difficult but Al Sadd players deliberately delayed time and there was no fair play. The referee also was on their side.”
The tactician told that his side flew straightaway after their K-League game and therefore were below par during the second half. He, though, hailed his players for their untiring efforts despite being exhausted after a long journey.
Yoon, at the same time, wished his fellow Korean outfit, Jeonbuk Motors, all the best for the final of the Champions League.
The former South Korean defender concluded the talks by saying, "We tried to win the game. We did our best. It was not easy but we tried. We tried attacking but because of the time difference between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 and Korea, the players were jet-lagged. That's why
you saw we were exhausted, especially in the second-half.”
Suwon Bluewings finished the 2010/11 season seventh on the league table and are currently third on the standings, 10 points adrift of the leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jeonbuk-Hyundai-Motors-c39605.
