York conditions to suit Long Awaited in Coopers Marquees Stakes (Handicap)
The conditions at York are going to suit Long Awaited far better than at Epsom last time. Therefore, he has a wonderful chance of stealing the show in the Coopers Marquees Stakes (Handicap), taking place on Friday, June 15, 2012.
On good to soft, more than one and a half dozen runners will compete for a cash prize worth £7,439. The plan is to kick off the proceedings at 16:10 (GMT). The class 3 meeting will be held over five furlongs and among the confirmed entries are:
Sohraab, Flash City, Racy, Long Awaited, Jamesway, Bathwick Bear, Blue Jack, Foxy Music, Judge ´n Jury, Le Toreador, Mayoman, Taurus Twins, Bedloe´s Island, Hazelrigg, Medici Time, Haajes, Rain Delayed, Cocktail Charlie, Quality Art and Nosedive.
Long Awaited was mighty impressive on his seasonal debut at Doncaster in April. The four-year-old beat Even Stevens by 3/4 a length to ensure the top rank easily.
After clinching a comprehensive victory, David Barron’s trainee could not continue his good work and as a result, finished 13th at Epsom earlier this month. With a lot favourable conditions at York, Peter Jones’ gelding has a great chance of making
significant improvement.
Out of others, Sohraab looks to be the most dangerous contestant. The 8-year-old is due to unleash a special effort after two terrible outings lately.
After facing a lot of embarrassment at Newbury, Hughie Morrison’s trainee failed to do anything different and fell 12th at Epsom last time. Nonetheless, the bay gelding has bright prospects, as the conditions are a lot favourable
this time.
Flash City is aiming to break the shackles. The four-year-old failed to win even a single event last year and this season has not yet brought any good news to him.
Bryan Smart’s trainee showed a lot of determination last time, seizing the runner-up place at Musselburgh. Racy has earned decent odds, but we are reluctant to recommend him for the top spot after his three unlucky trips this season.
Long Awaited was superb on his successful debut for David Barron at Doncaster. Things are in his favour once again, thus he is expected to be quite fascinating today. Good Luck to all runners.
