Yorkshire Terrier Likes and Dislikes?

Hi, I am getting my new yorkshire terrier on Thursday and I was wondering what sort of stuff, I can do with him to make him love me. He is 6 weeks old, and he is KC registered. Can someone please tell me what you can do with the KC registered thing as well thanks!!!

He will naturally love you because you will be the one training and caring for him. Dogs love the ones who provide them their food and show them attention and take care of them. Don't be afraid to discipline and train him though; he has to know who's boss and will respect you more for it in the long run.

This is on the UK site. KC means Kennel Club registered.

I'm surprised a reputable breeder would allow a Yorkie pup to go at 6 weeks - 8 weeks would be better.

When you get your KC registration documents, you send them off to transfer him into your ownership. KC registration means you are pretty much assured that he is a purebred Yorkie & his parents are who the pedigree says they are. Make sure you get the documents or something in writing which says he is KC Reg when you pick him up.

You don't need to make him love you, he will if you are fair & consistant in training him. Feed him, give him plenty of toys & don't be afraid to discipline him when he's naughty & he'll be fine.

Just make sure you show them lots of attention. My friend has 2 of them and she does not show them attention because their fur turns gray after they get older. THEY WILL BE WILD AND CRAZY IF YOU DONT!

I've never seen a dog that was Kansas City registered before. How interesting...

As for the specifics:

DISLIKES-

Terriers by their very nature are too 1)small, 2)spastic, 3)likely to chew everything, 4) closely related to rats.

LIKES-

I don't own one, nor do any of my neighbors.

THINGS YOU CAN DO TO MAKE HIM LOVE YOU-

Put him out of his misery. He hates his life, as would you if you were a "Yorkie".

THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH A KC REGISTRATION-

Yorkies are adorable and very energetic + loving. They're also very bright and smart ! :D

My neighbour's Yorkie that I trained got really close to me because I trained and walked it a lot . Simple stuff like this often make your pup adore you ! [:

KC registered? You mean AKC reigistered I think (American Kennel Club). The AKC registered thing mean you can show him in dog shows, and also, if you don't have the papers, you aren't legaly owning the dog. Small dogs love soft and squeaky, especially yorkies. Get hima  plush doll that squeaks or something, and if it likes it, it will probaly rip off its head, but its having a good time. For their teeth, get Minties, they clean teath, adn act as a dog bone. Until they are 8 months, feed them a puppy formula. Make sure its hard food, and put a little bit of hot water to make it softer, but good for them. Then when theya re older, swith to adult. BUT WHEN SWITCHING FOOD, MIX THE FOOD HALF AND HALF, NOR AN INSTANT SWITCH, if you do they get really sick.

akc or ckc and it is for breeding purpose and if you want him to be a show dog and they bark a lot they are small and very lovable  i have 2 and the best way to get him to like u is to play with him and let him get used to u
