  2. I do.  It's a good way to develop better hand-eye coordination, it taste better with the chopsticks and it keeps me from making a glutton of myself.  It's a win-win-win situation

  11. If you can use them with enough dignity to not make a fool of yourself then sure, if not just use a fork.

    (what is bad is that using the chopsticks to pick up a slimy piece of chicken;

  13. i use chopsticks to gather food onto my plate from the middle but then i use a spoon/fork to eat.

    But they supply knives and forks just incase.

  18. Typically, it's a good idea to use chopsticks in a Chinese or Japanese restaurant. Although not all people see it this way, it is sort of common courtesy to do so. They're considered to be part of the "experience", so if you can, learn how to use them and expand your horizons.

    But, if you simply cannot, it is quite acceptable to ask for a fork. In fact, you'll probably be better off because you won't be spilling food all over the table. ; )
