  1. your question does not make sense.

    if you have become a retailer, and someone asks for a Tiffany watch, you may not

    be able to sell it --or a GUCCI bag, because

    those items are "licensed" to specific

    retailers.

    IF you have a relationship with a distributor

    and a prepaid order from a customer

    ASK the distributor what method

    they would like you to use

    when you order.

    IN some cases, depending on who it

    is, the distributor MAY NOT SELL TO YOU.


  2. The usual way is to issue a Purchase Order, which would list the items you want and how many of each, when you want it, and how they're to be shipped.

    Then, any disputes or complications get resolved over the phone and the order proceeds. Often, a revised PO will be faxed or emailed to clear everything up and create a reliable paper trail if there's a problem with the order later.

    That's how it goes in my business.
