Specifically. What is your daily routine like? Do you have time for friends and family? What is the best part of being a doctor? Would you do it all over again, given the chance? What personal traits in yourself helps you to like your job?

Thanks!

  1. I'll answer your questions in order.

I don't have a routine, full stop. I work awkward times and only play rugby and do karate at set times.

Of course I have time for friends (I live away from my immediate family). I also made friends at the hospital where I work which is great.

The best part about being a doctor is when you see someone who was within inches of dying, walk out of the hospital's front door.

I would definitely do it again.

The personal traits that help me. I'm insomniac, so being on call doesn't bother me. I don't mind blood at all. I love helping people. I'm competitive. Etc. etc.
