I bet most of you aren't even registered to vote. Young people notoriously don't show up on election day. And are you calling your congressmen to complain, and are you standing up in protest? Are you fighting disinformation? Convincing others? What are you doing?

  1. What am I doing?

In truth, I bought a bunch of cans of food for me and my dog, and I buried it in the backyard; then I got two cases of beer and a lawn chair.

When the time comes and one of these two end life as we know it, with Congress speeding things along, I'll be able to last at least 2 weeks.

And I will have a front row seat for the whole show.

Care to join me?  I wouldn't mind someone bringing a pizza.

  2. <<registered to vote.

I work in Ghana during my summers...great experience. www.kidsworldwide.org

I also work in the gulf coast during the year...repairing and gutting houses. also, some wonderful people. Looks like we missed a lot of the damage this time around...thank goodness. www.habitat-nola.org/

  3. Currently, I am chair of a committee working on a planning issues for developing a large area and protecting the historic as well.  I have volunteered all my life.

I am active from time to time when it is necessary to help with community issues even though I am older.  I always vote and taught both my sons that it is not a right but an obligation.   So they vote and follow issues.  Since both are now adults in the science field both are voting for Obama.  They also do their homework and vote for whomever they think will be best.

Not perfect but fair, balanced and not Bush.

McCain and Palin are not sympathetic to evolution, geology and reality.

  4. No nothing is being done except for those already protesting.

Which brings  to mind the story of Eduardo Galeano's tortoise which made a slow approach across the country and at each place along the way spoke out against politicians and then made a speech outside The White House called politicians whores and then went home.

Guess that is all of us.

  5. And why would *anyone* show up for the selections? The game of voting isn't for them you twit. Its so we the people can feel like *we* did something worthwhile. If you care to look online, you can find plenty of evidence to prove that the vote does not matter, the politicians have already been chosen long before you waddle up to the voting booth. I will not do your homework for you, if you have an open mind and a willing heart, you can take the same amount of time I did and find out the same information, and stop being such a bleating sheep! Do you really believe that congress gives a d**n? What am I doing? I am trying to fight disinformation. How many of these four year psychosis are we going to go thru before we realize that the game is not in our favor? Its like a game of monopoly. How many times are you going to play before you realize that the money ain't real?? And, if the money isn't real.......why are you playing?
