  1. Vote to pull out all the troops.

Let Iraqi solutions solve Iraqi problems.

  2. What a cool question.

  3. I guess any solider coming back home would want life to go back to normal.

  4. This is what my husband (a veteran of a past war) said.  Don't push or make a big to-do.  Just let them relax.  Don't constantly ask questions, they will talk when they want to.  Keep everything as normal as when they left.  A dinner out right away maybe too much because people and noise may trigger a flashback.  Just be there for them, don't feel bad when they cry (my husband still does occasionally and he says he just needs to sometimes). Just make him a great home-cooked meal like he remembered from before he left.  C-rations are nothing compared to a home meal.  God bless your soldier and thank him for us.

  5. My brother just got back from Afghanistan today!

I picked him up from the airport and he had his uniform on.

He said that people kept walking up to him and touching him.

He didn't mind the "thank yous" and the smiles, but he said he didn't want people to touch him.

He just wants to be left alone and have people respect him.
