You are all missing my point regarding total medals!!?

Question

If the British cox less 4's won gold. That is 4 gold medals however it only counts as one gold in the medal table. What I want to know is how many gold, silver and Bronze medals were presented to all competitor's during the Olympics. Counting each and every medal presented to all team members. So, our "three blondes in a boat" for instance won three, coxless 4's won four (equals 7 however only counts as two in the table)

Probably several thousand looked at like that.  Considering all of the team events where all the players get a medal and the Alternates in team relays also get the same  medal as the actual team that races in the final.

Chill... we know what you mean. The problem is nobody know the exact answer. The only way you can know this is to count the medals awarded in every single events. You can do this by going to the Schedule and Results page at the official Olympics website. Click on each event, find out how many medals they award and how many people are on a team (if those are team events). It's probably harder than it seems though, coz many sports also have substitute players.
