  1. Depends on the police car and his reason.   If he is just riding along,  no problem with passing.    If he is astraddle the center line,  lights on,   he may be slowing traffic for some hazardous situation ahead.

Pay attention,  read the circumstances,  make an intelligent decision.

  2. Probably not.  It's really hard to pass someone by going only 5 faster than them.  And you really don't want to speed in front of a police car.

  3. Depends on weather conditions. Remember that the speed limit is based on optimum driving conditions and anything that deteriorates optimum conditions will reduce the allowable speed.

  4. As long as there is no lights or sirens going on the cruiser, then yes pass if you want. They want stop you if your not breaking the law.

  5. Obviously the 35 MPH is in town. Why the heck do you care ? Just hang until the situation changes. The diff between 30 and 35 makes no difference whatever. If you pass the chances are that you will come to a stop sign or stop signal soon anyway!

The guy at 30 M.P.H, cop or not, is not the problem. YOU are the problem. The law does not say that U have to drive 35 in a 35 M.P.H. zone. there are people that are too old to drive. There are people that are too immature to drive. Drunks, dopers, people that just left the eye doctor, people that just left the funeral of their parent. People that are afraid. people that just inherited a million dollars. Idiots. The Incompetents such as you.  Professional race car drivers that drive a pig of an SUV "off duty".   Sleepy persons, Leos like me!, that fly off the handle.

There are those that cannot stand for you to drive less than one car length per every ten M.p.H., as the law dictates.

Just chill out, it is not war and it is not a race. If you want to go fast go find a drag strip or a quiet road.

  6. sure you do why don't you try that?

  7. You should pass in a two lane situation because they are the same as another car but be careful that you don't exceed the speed limit while passing or cut them off cause then your screew stuck in the middle of nowhere without a car

why would you like to know

  8. i do all the time...i swear the cops do it on purpose

  9. yes I pass them all the time I think the cop is waiting for a speeder to pass and not see the cop car since other cars are backed up behind him.  Its a risky move that so far has not gotten me pulled over..

  10. Treat a Police Car like any other car but keep to the posted speed limit.

  11. i'd let the cop pass if that's what you mean.

  12. SURE, no problem. He doesn't even know you're there anyway. He's looking for that new donut shop that just opened down the block.

  13. If it's safe to do so and he or she doesn't have the emergency lights on, yes in most cases. If it's a funeral procession, no.
