  1. if you have the chance for the try then go for it but if your not too sure then go for the drop goal,

  2. gunfan is right... the drop goal is a solid option if you have a reliable kicker and the conditions (wind, rain, etc) are in your favour, as well as field position.

you would want to be very close to the end of the game or else the opposing side could score a drop goal on your side of the field very quickly.

if you have scored a few tries already, or are confident your team has the edge, go for the 5 pointer... but if its a low scoring affair, and seems possible, drop goal is safe.

  3. Depends..if the play is in the oppositions half then the main priority would be to keep the ball for as long as possible (not try to desperately go for the try and lose it) and patiently set up a drop goal (and hope the oppisition give away penalty in the meantime)..If the play is in your half the emphasis is on headless chicken stuff...to get you in their half..and to patiently keep the ball and hope for a penalty/drop goal opportunity..but mainly a penalty.

  4. Depends.

If you have someone who is confident and competent at dropping a goal AND you have the field position for a drop goal (AND preferably you have practised in training) then probably the droppie is the percentage play.

However it's not the time for someone to try a drop kick for the first time.

  5. Go for anything! drop goal, try as long as you do something...Lol

  6. it dependes were u r on the field if u r cloose go 4 the try if ur a ways away go 4 the drop kick

  7. If your flyhalf is an in form Jannie de Beer - take the drop goal!
