You hit off the tee box and your shot hits a house along the fairway, breaking a window. What do you do....do you stop and take responsibility? do you just keep going and pretend it didn't happen?

Do you do anything different if the homeowner is there vs. no one is home?

  1. The golf club usually has insurance for this that the homeowners know about.  Just keep moving.

  2. On most public courses YOU are responsible!

The least you can do is talk to someone in the club house about the proper action.

However, I have played with friends that have hit houses and cars and just kept moving. Your car or your house…SOL.

    What comes around goes around.

  3. One course where I play has a sign that says the player is responsible.

Take golf out of the equation, if you hit a car with your car, would you take responsibility?
