i look down on people who are not married by age 26. and i am allowed to say this because i am 35 and not married.

but i also look down on people who get married. i look at men who get married as failures. they get married, have kids, and live miserable lives.

you just cant win with me can you?

Marriage is over-rated in this pc, feminism world, where the ideal male is reinforced daily on tv as the doting, effeminate cardboard cutout.  I wish there were more men's clubs that helped counter the gossip-hounds that isolate and wear down male ideals.  Not bitter.

What others do or don't do should not affect you, you should be concentrating in yourself

In your mind we can't. Because to you, your opinion of people and how they live their lives is the only opinion that matters. But to tell you the truth, the only opinion that matters to other people is the one that they have of themselves. I know plenty of men who're happily married; as well as women. I'm not married, but I'm in a serious relationship. Because I want to take my time and find the right man to marry so that I do not end up unhappy and divorced. So, I really don't care if you look down on me or anyone else for that matter for taking the time to wait to get married. And in my most humble and honest opinion (if you like it or not), it's said that you're a 35 year old man that hasn't found anyone to settle down with. I at least want to have found someone prior to reaching your age. But then again, that's just the way I feel (my personal opinion) so I guess you can't win with me either.

You need to get out of that cage more, and meet some of the 'majority' of people who live happy lives, whether it's with their friends, or their family.

Not everyone gets married and gets miserable, and not all single people are thoughtless party animals.
