  1. To do this, open your start menu, go into control panel. Open sounds and audio devices, click the sounds tab at the top, scroll down to the text that says "Start Windows" and click it once. Next to "Start Windows," click Browse and select the music file you want to play when you start windows. This can be applied to any other action. Just select the sound you want to edit, and click Browse to select the sound you want to use when that action occurs.

  2. yes, you can play any sound clip you want want logging onto your computer. open control panel and select sounds. "start" "settings" "control panel" "sounds". select the sound tab and then replace the window logon sounds with any sound clip of your choice! you can also change the many other sounds that windows makes. have fun!

  3. Yes you can, it may not be the whole song though.  In Windows XP go to the control panel and hit sounds and audio devices, and in there hit the sounds tab.  Scroll down till you see Start Windows or Windows Logon, click on.  Then hit browse and find your favorite song.

You may have to convert the audio file to .wav format though.

TO do that us dbMusicAmp.  ITs free and does a pretty nice job.
