  1. It's a saying that means that you can't accomplish something big without actually doing something.  Just like you can't travel across the sea without first getting into a boat.

  2. What this means is that simply standing on the coast of the sea staring at the water will not help you to cross that same water. You have to act. Think of it like school--you cannot receive A's in a class unless you do the homework, study, do well on tests and quizzes and really apply yourself to learning the material. In other words, to achieve a goal you must do something, not simply wish to achieve it and expect it to happen.

    Hope that helps. :)

  3. Have you ever heard the expression - "you got the thinking part done"

It's all about making a plan - you have the problem - now it's putting a plan in motion - how are you going to get across the ocean =

  4. You can never cross the sea if you just stare the water. You should do something to cross the sea.. You can swim or have a boat, anything that you can do to make your goal happen.. Imagine you can't reach you can't have a job in just sitting there.. you should find a way to get a job.. Gets??

  5. To cross the sea you would have to move and you could not do it by swimming...........you need equipment, a plan, various items.  It is a metaphor.

  6. it simply means you have to not only dream but also act. Make things happen. Act and do something.
