If you were a jury....?

Would you find this person guilty or not?

Case- Jack is a drug addict. he put fake perscriptions in the pharmacy for many people. He says one of the people he put a pers. in for was Bill and says Bill picked it up for him. Jack was caught and ratted out 9 people. 8 people admitted to picking up the medicine for Jack. Bill was the 9th accused and said he was innocent.

Evidence-

Jack's testimony saying Bill picked up the meds. And a siganture from the pharmacy- Results of the hand writing analysis were INCONCLUSIVE ( the report said Bill "probably" did it. but not definite)

But who would you believe? Bill has an INCREDIBLE record. And NO history of drug use. Mean while the other 8 accused that plead guilty had previous drug charges and bad behavior.

Do you think Bill is GUILTY of picking up the med or NOT?

ADDING THIS: Bill says that Jack stole his I.D. and picked up the med. and forged his sign. (Jack has admitted to stealing his wifes I.D an doing that)

  1. Not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.  Bill should be freed in my opinion.

  2. It doesn't matter whether we/I think Bill is probably guilty or not.  The established liar says Bill is lying.  Bill says he's not, and no one has established Bill as a liar.  The only tangible evidence is inconclusive.  The prosecution has failed to prove Bill's guilt, beyond a reasonable doubt.  Even though I might say "Bill, that slimy POS, is getting away with this.." under my breath, the law requires me to say Not Guilty.

  3. I would acquit on the fact that there is a lack of evidence, and in our legal system a jury needs to see "beyond a reasonable doubt."

  4. yes, no doubt about it.  Bill is very so guilty.  8 out of 9 people plead guilty and the last one out of allllllll of them is all of a sudden....innocent?  Hmmmm, you can't help but wonder.

  5. i THINK i'd give Bill the benefit of the doubt and say he is not gulty
