You die...We die...Then what........?

I just had a very Grim thought that I never had in my 28 years of life....

That everyone we see is gonna die at some point in time, And I mean EVERYONE...anyone you see on TV, people you pass by on the street, people around the world in point or other is going to pass away.

BUT....then what? What happens after death? Does anyone TRULY know?

People have near death experiences & say they saw "The Light" or "Dark fire"..but how do we know if they were really 1/2 way to heaven or h**l? How do we know it wasn't just some dream of Heaven or h**l?

Another question is how do we know if there's really A Heaven or h**l?

What if there is no heaven or h**l...then after death there's.......nothingness.

And I'm not talking about being in the middle of nowhere..I'm talking about just not being anywhere because you(and your soul) don't exist anymore.

I know the Bible says this & that about the afterlife but I don't know about believing the Bible...BTW I don't have a religious background at all...I just believe in what's right within myself.

But anyway....What do ya'll think about all this....I wanna know...

P.S: If you're seeing this question again...it's not your imagination..I posted somewhere else but got little to no answers.

  1. May be this will help you. This video is based in the teachings of the ancient Vedic knowledge.

  2. I dunno I suppose. I don't know what kind of philosophy is available out there which caters to the needs of those who have little or not religious beliefs.

I was brought up with no religious values and I remember wondering one day, where "we" would be if we weren't "here". It's a frightening thought and the outcome of death is so uncertain anyway.

Religious explanations of an afterlife are all promises which have yet to be proven, nevertheless it all depends on absolute faith. I guess everything does.

  3. it all depends on what you believe & base your faith on

I, as a Chrisatian believe that if I repent of my sins & ask Jesus to come into my heart (life) & that I truely mean it & try to live by his word , then I am saved & I will go to heaven

I also believe in heaven because right before my Grandmother passed

away she had a dream of her sister who had died a long time ago & she never dreamed of her sister, it was like her sister was letting her

know that it was her time to join her in heaven :>)

  4. Just because you don't come from a religious background doesn't mean that heaven or h**l cease to exist for you. Get straight with God, read a bible or pray. You don't have to be religious. You don't even have to go to church or call yourself a Christian. But if you read, even if you flip through the pages or never finish the bible, you will find that God will speak to you, either in heart, dreams, or the best way He can. If this thought entered your mind it must be for something. Just talk to him, a relationship with God is between you and Him. I really hope this helps.

  5. If we don't know life, how can we know death?

    Confucius

First, you must get your priority straight.

What do you know about life ?

If you know everything about life.

Then you can start trying to learn about death.

  6. That's it.  You die and it's all over.  No heaven with streets paved in gold.  No h**l with fire filled lake with all the poking and the scratching of the genital area for all eternity.  It's all over.  nothingness.  But with that in mind, I can't think of any better reason to live your current life to the utmost FULLEST.  If you wanna do it and it won't result in a court date, I say get started.

And as far as all the people you know and see, enjoy them while you have them.  You can't live life wondering how things are gonna be without them.  That's just stinking thinking.  The only thing I will regret in life is that last sentence.

  7. After death::: if any case soul is true.. our souls will be knowing, which book is correct.

I hope bible wont be correct. If it’s correct, i have to go to h**l.

    :(

    (bad kada?)

    I am a non-Christian. I trust in Dharma/Truth/"Beeing Good to get salvetion".

  8. Get a life, then you won't think so much about death. What is the point asking questions that do not have answers?

We live in this world, the world we see and hear and touch and smell. If you know everyone is going to die, then deal with it. Use the time we have now to do what you need to do today and each day that you have remaining. Your death will come in time. Try to live now, while you have life. This is life, the one you get.

  9. I don't think there is anything that is like a continuation of yourself (no afterlife in the sense that everyone would like to believe).  My feeling is that whatever is the essence of life is returned to that universal essence (whatever it is).  This "essence" doesn't have any memory of where it was, doesn't care.  All life has this essence.  There is nothing special about the essence of humans and the essence of anything else, even, say, a worm.

Sort of like little droplets of water that splash out of the ocean, exist for a while, and return to it.  All life is equal in this respect, in the fundamental existence of life.

That is my philosophy, my "religion", for what it is worth (not much).  Not too sure many others think along the same lines.

When you die, you are dead.  there is no more "you".

  10. i think you still have soul but your being is gone so your soul can get a new budy then we go a grateter plane

  11. If anyone told you: Yes there is A Heaven and h**l. Would you beliefe him or her?

No one ever came back who was completly death - but is it not a hint, that almost everybody with near death experience tells the same, .e.g. first seeing himself from above, than goning up and through a tunnel and so on. so we can assume, that there is something after death.

and we have to die because without death there is no life possible. imagine you had to live for ever - nothing would matter

well I realise how complex it is to answer such a question in a foreign language
