  1. It is a nonsense question.

  2. one of them must change state, depending on the forces. if the unstoppable force is strongter than the unmovable force, the unmovable force will become movable, and vice versa

  3. Nothing, the question is a paradox, in that by definition, if an unstoppable force exists there is no immovable object and vice versa.

But if your talking theoretically then the indestructible thing will change shape (not being destroyed, but like energy just made into a different form) and the unstoppable object, changed in form, will continue on it's endless journey.

  4. which ever ones force it stronger moves/stops the other

if they are equal forces they will stop still

  5. what ever force is stronger will either push or stop the other object - good question :)

  6. This is not a question about physics, it's a question about semantics.

There are no irresistible forces, nor immovable objects. For either to exist there would have to be not only a practical definition of 'infinity', but a practical application. That's isn't going to happen.

However, if there was such a thing as an immovable object then there could not be an irresistible force, and vice versa.  If one exists, the other cannot. Simple as that.

  7. The force is unstoppable because it is intangible.

The object is immovable because it is also intangible.

The force meets the object and simply passes through as if it wasn't there. Neither rule is broken. Nothing happens.

As for a Tree falling in the woods... well... what is sound? If you say its the vibration traveling through the air, you are wrong. In fact its a vibration that is perceived by the ear and transmitted to the brain by the cochlear nerve. Sound exists only as an expression of your brain as a way to interpret sensory data. Therefor sound can only exist if there is someone there to hear it, so to speak.

As for the chicken and the egg, well, that depends what you believe. If you believe God (or a god) simply snapped his fingers (or whatever) and suddenly created the world as it is, then the answer might be easy for you, but then did God simply blind into existence a full grown chicken, or did he drop an egg and do it miracle grow style? If you believe in evolution or intelligent design then the answer might be a little different. Though personally I would say the egg came first since chickens come from eggs and it isn't a chicken unless it did, so whatever lay the egg is not a chicken

  8. The unstoppable object tunnels through the immovable !

  9. Neither of those things exist.

The unstoppable is only unstoppable until something stops it.

A immovable object is only immovable until it is moved.

Nothing mind boggling about it at all.

Unless you are blond, in which case everything around you is probably mind boggling.

  10. Our universe will implode!!

  11. There's no answer to that - it's a conundrum. There is no such thing as either an unstoppable or immovable object within the universe.

Newton said that any object will keep moving in a straight line until something either deflects or stops it - so, theortetically, your objects WILL when they collide, or be deflected from their course.

  12. the unstoppable object goes through the immovable object. That way, it hasn't moved =P

  13. They both will be converted into other forms of energy.

(Something like another 'Big Bang'....Just a Theory !!!).
