Please, only answers from those who have been to Dublin or who are Dubliners. I'm going with my girlfriend for the first time next week. We're pretty excited.

  1. im a dubliner, deffo into the city centre and as that girl already said temple bar is a great place to go, thats where i go for a good night out....by the way temple bar isnt actually a bar its a street with loads of them on it

  2. I assume you mean the inner city, then.

I'd say a few pubs in Temple Bar still do that - but that street is packed on the week-ends!

  3. Temple Bar has lots of pubs with trad music and its got great nightlife, i definitely recommend temple bar!

( The temple bar is a good pub)

  4. if you can go to Johnny Foxes, its up the Dublin mountains, they put on Irish dancing shows - only problem is getting there, but I'm sure the Dublin tourist board would be able to help you.

another place that puts on free Irish dancing nightly is the Arlington Hotel, its extremely central, right by O'Connell Bridge, it turns into a late bar afterward, so I'm warning you now it will be very busy.

Have a look at the bars in Temple bar, they will have signs up to say when they are holding  a 'trad session', mostly in the afternoon.

Another point, I did the Dublin splash tour recently (with work) and its great craic (or fun) so fit that in one of the days here.
